NIST INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL 2017 - 2018 ACADEMIC PROFILE
The first and only full, not-for-profit International Baccalaureate (IB) World School in Bangkok, NIST International School (formerly New International School of Thailand) was established in 1992 with the guidance and support of the United Nations. The NIST community numbers approximately 1,600 students representing 57 nationalities. Offering all three IB programmes--the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP)--NIST also offers students at the high school level the option of pursuing the Global Citizen Diploma. At all grade levels, the school provides a wide range of extra-curricular activities for students. Over the past 25 years, NIST has gained a reputation for being one of the leading IB schools in the world. Its students consistently earn scores well above the world and regional averages, and they move on to higher education throughout North America, Europe, Australasia and Asia.
