Disagreeing with Board's view conveyed through letter dated 2110912015,NFIR vide its reply dated 2810912015,has clarified the position in detail, citing the stand taken by the Railway Board in a Court case through the speaking order passedby the CRB vide letter dated 0710612001as also the order passedby the CAT/Ernakulam. The issue was discussedthereafter in NFIR's PNM meeting held with the Railway Board on 08th/09thOctober 2015 and subsequently in the special meeting of EDs with the Federation on l2th October 2015. During the meeting NFIR urged the Railway Board to respect its own decision "not treating posting of Accounts Assistant as Stock Verifier" as promotion, while in the special meeting held on 1211012015,the Official Side agreed that the matter will be examined by Pay Commission Directorate in consultation with the Establishment Directorate. Federation is disappointed to note that a period of over six months has passed, neither progress made in the matter has been apprised nor instructions issued to the Zones, PUs etc. . NFIR, therefore, once again urges the Railway Board to grant MACPS benefit to Stock Verifiers, in view of speaking Order passedby CRB through letter dated 7' June 2001.
