Pack 416 - Popcorn Sales Information (2016) Why Do We Sell Popcorn? We sell popcorn to help our Pack raise funds to help create lifelong memorable experiences for our Scouts. Camping, hiking, science, technology, and adventure outings prepare our Scouts to be self-reliant and resourceful leaders for the future, while building personal character, courage, and values of patriotism. Goals. Our Pack Goal is to sell $8,000 of Popcorn. Our Scout Goal is for each family to sell $100 Ways to Sell. Show & Sell -- Our Pack has arranged to set up and sell in front of Newberry and Haile Publix locations. Contact your Den leader for specific dates and times. Take Order -- Scouts sell door to door to families and businesses. Scouts use the order forms that were mailed to them this summer to take orders. Product will be delivered to scouts the 14th of November to hand out to their customers. Scouts are encouraged to collect payment when sale is made (Checks made out to Pack 416.) Parents are encouraged to sell at work. Online Sales – Scouts can set up a free online selling account at www.trails-end.com. Scouts can email friends and family members and ask them to make purchases online. Sales Incentives.

The Galactic Collection Patch set. Sell 1 Item — Receive the Lunar Participation Patch. Make 1 Military Sale* — Receive the Galaxy Rocker. *This is a donation where popcorn will be sent to the military, not a sale to a military member.

Make 1 Sale Online — Receive the Satellite Rocker. Sell 1 of each Item on the Take Order Form — Receive the Space Shuttle Patch. Sell a Total of $650 (Face-to-Face and Online) — Receive the Saturn Rocker. Sell a Total of $1 ,000 — Receive the Top Seller Pin. Blitz Weekend Patches. There are 2-different Patches for the 2-Blitz Weekends. At least one sale made between August 26-28 needed to receive the Iwo Jima Patch. At least one sale made between September 30-October 2 to receive flag patch. CUT OUT

CUT OUT Sales Prizes. Sell $75 dollars or more to earn cool prizes. The more you sell, the cooler the prizes. Descriptions located in sales order form or online at www.boyscouts-gcc.com. Please keep in mind that Prize Levels are NOT cumulative. For example, a Scout selling $500 of Popcorn, could select I-Prize from the $500 level, OR 2-Prizes from the $250 Level, OR 5-Prizes from the $100 Level. They MAY NOT select I-Prize for the $100 Level AND I-Prize from the $250 Level AND I-Prize from the $500 Level.

Fill It Up. Each Scout that Fills Up a Form, and submits it to Council, earns a chance at winning one of the weekly Star Wars Lego drawings. More details on next page.

Invitation to a Spin and Win Party. The top 100 Sellers, with a minimum of $1,000 in Sales will be invited to a Spin and Win Party along with 2-Family members. Trails End Scholarship. Sell $2,500 in any calendar year and receive 6% of your total sales invested in your own Trail’s End Scholarship account. Once enrolled, 6% of your sales each year will be added to your account. You only have to hit the $2,500 minimum one time. Online sales count!

October 21, 2016 — Deadline for Scouts to turn in Popcorn order forms. All sales from Take Order forms must be submitted to Mike Benson to ensure that all orders that were placed by customers can be filled by Scouts. November 14, 2016 – Popcorn will be delivered to scouts for delivery to customers. November 28, 2016 – All Popcorn Sales Money due to Pack.

Fill It Up Drawing Dates: September 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, October 7, 14, 21, 2016 at 4PM Scouts MUST Fill Up a Take Order Form to qualify for the weekly drawings. The more Forms You Fill Up, the better your chances of winning one of the weekly drawings. Also, the sooner you Fill It Up, the better your chances of winning one of the weekly drawings. The Prizes will be various Star Wars LEGO Sets The Take Order Form has 30 Lines. Each line must contain an order. Hint: If one person buys 6 items, fill out six lines. Thirty items sold will fill up a form this way. Only Door-to-Door sales count. Unit Show & Sell Orders and Online Orders do NOT count. For a Form to be eligible for that weekly drawing it must be received prior to 2 PM the day of the drawing. To enter the drawing, the following Information must be provided to Council: District: Alachua / Unit: Pack 416 / Scout Name: / Parents EMAIL: / Parents Phone Number: / Total $ Sold This information can be: Faxed to (904) 387-4148 OR Emailed to [email protected] Winners will be notified at their Parents Email and Phone Number. Parents of the Winners will be asked to complete a BSA Model Release Form so that we may use a picture of the winning Scouts on our Website and other media products. Parents of Winning Scouts will be asked to provide a copy of the filled up form, if not previously provided.

Sales Tips. Wear your full uniform. People are more likely to support a Scout in uniform. Behave in a manner that reflects the Scout Oath and Law. Always smile, be polite. Always carry two ink pens with you when selling. Keep your Order Form neat. DO NOT LOSE IT, this is your only record of your sales. Know all the Trails End Products that you are selling, including the two Military Options. Let Customers know what the money is used for. Try to collect money when the sale is made (checks made out to Pack 416). Make sure you know the date that the popcorn will be delivered to the Customers. (11/14) Remind everyone what a great Holiday gift Delicious Trails End Popcorn makes for Teachers, Coaches, Mail Carriers, Barbers/Hair Dressers, Co-Workers, Customers, Etc. Say Thank You to everyone, whether they make a purchase OR not. NOT everyone you ask will make a purchase. Do not become discouraged, this is normal for ALL Sales. The more people you ask, the more YES's you will get. Safety: Never sell alone, always sell with another Scout or Parent. NEVER enter anyone's home. Always walk on sidewalks and driveways... stay off the grass. Don't carry large sums of money.
