Although he had stated in his resignation for 'personal reasons', the following were part of the reasons for doing so: (i)

During his tenure, he received threats from the students of 2008-10 batch regarding nomenclature of the degree. They were enrolled for MBA but at the end of the term NIA could give them Post Graduate Diploma in Management due to the problems stated above. They threatened that they would go to the Court of Law for justice. On 15th of January 2011, letter issued by the then Director is enclosed which is self explanatory.

15 students did not pay the last instalment of the fees of Rs.l,25,0001which he had to face inharmonic relations with the NIA Management.

All such stress led to health problems and mental depression which forced him to resign from the services of NIA after 1 year & 4 months, against 5 years of his appointment. Soon after he left the Academy on 31 sl March 2011, when he was away for a trip to Chardham yatra he tried to commit suicide and finally went missing from Devprayag, District Tehri Gadhwal, Uttarakhand on 1sl July 2011 not to be found till date leaving behind wife and two daughters.

Prior to joining of Dr. Sapovadia, the then NIA management consulted Mis. Amarchand Mangaldas, the Advocates in Delhi in 2009-10 whose summary of findings is enclosed. On their recommendation a Show-cause Notice was issued to Dr. K.C. Mishra on zo" March 2010 to which he replied on 3rd April 2010, copies of which are enclosed. Dr. K.c. Mishra was Director ofNIA during the period from 91h August 1999 to 31stAugust 2009. On the basis of our primary assessment on the basis of documents before us, we feel that due to irregularity in AICTE approval, serious lapse has occurred resulting into breach of trust, violation of law causing damage to the victim students. Therefore, we request that proper investigation needs to be carried out on the basis of which actions against the guilty person/s should be taken as per provision oflaw. The names and addresses of the then Governing Board Members are printed on NIA Admission Brochure 2008-10, Item No.6 in the enclosures.
