September 7, 2016 Dear Parents/Guardians: Welcome back to an exciting new year! As we look to integrate technology into our daily practices we are excited to launch the Genesis Parent Portal for all required forms. Through the Genesis Parent Access Portal, Parents/Guardians are able to: - Monitor daily attendance records in “real time” - View Report Cards - Update phone and email contacts for you and your child(ren) - Electronically sign important documents (such as the Acceptable Use Agreement and Media Permission) In order for the school to keep you informed, maintaining the accuracy of your contact information is essential. Please log into the Genesis Parent Access Portal and review/update this information as soon as possible. You can access the Genesis Parent Access Portal by going to https://parents.genesisedu.com/florence/parents?gohome=true

In the Parent Portal, you are able to add secondary numbers and email addresses to provide the schools with multiple ways to reach you, but please note that School Messenger Alerts will be sent ONLY to: - The first home phone number listed for each guardian - The first work phone number listed for each guardian - The first cell phone number listed for each guardian - The first email listed for each guardian If you are having difficulty logging in, or if you have not yet provided the school with an email address to access the Portal, please send an email to [email protected] from the email address you will use to access the Portal. Include your name, your child’s name and birthday (for security verification) and your account will be activated. We will also be hosting two open sessions to assist parents with this process. The nights are open to any parent in the district that needs assistance.
