To: Franklin and Stevenson Football Programs and Spectators Re: Parking Plan for Thursday, 8/25/16 Varsity Football Game at SHS-Game Time: 7pm From: Lori Hyman, Athletic Director at SHS Due to continuing construction at Stevenson High School, we would like to STAGGER Arrival/Departure and CARPOOL as much as possible for the August 25, 2016 varsity football game. The current plan is as follows: FHS Spectators-PLEASE CARPOOL 

 

Parking will be available for FHS spectators behind the visitor bleachers on the grass. Spectators will park in an orderly manner per the parking attendants. This area will be well lite with a portable light tower. Spectators will proceed to the South Gate next to the visitor bleachers to purchase their ticket. Ticket booth will open at 5:30pm. Please limit tailgating due to lack of space. At the conclusion of the game, the FHS spectators will be guided out first along with the FHS players/cheerleaders. Parking in the local neighborhoods is allowed, however, please be aware of house lawns, etc. Again, FHS will be permitted to exit first.

SHS Players (Coaches), Cheerleaders, Pom Pon-PLEASE CARPOOL  



SHS Players, Cheerleaders, and Pom Pon team members will arrive NO later than 5:00pm. Please enter the stadium through the Learning Tree Gate, drive onto the dirt road, exit through the gate by the Tennis Courts, proceed through the parking lot and drive up the dirt road by the Softball Shed. Park on the grass by the baseball field in an orderly manner. ONLY use the road by the SB shed to enter and exit this area! Slow and careful driving through the lot please. Please DO NOT Park in the lot by the Stadium. You will be the LAST to leave the Stadium.

SHS Band Members-PLEASE CARPOOL 

Band Members will be directed by a Band Parent, Mr. Jason Nesler, to park on the Grass East of the tennis courts in an orderly manner by driving through the Learning Tree Gate, onto the dirt road. Please arrive no later than 5:30pm if possible. You will be the last to leave the Stadium.

Band Parents-Please CARPOOL    

Band Parents, please park in the Trinity Church lot (off of Six Mile) and walk to the stadium. The first 2 rows of parking (40 spaces) are off limits due to a Church event. You may park in any of the other 100 spots. Please arrive early/no later than 6pm. This lot is first come/first serve. No tailgating PLEASE. You can leave the stadium at any time which is the rationale of having you park at the church so that you can exit quickly and efficiently!

SHS Spectators/Game Workers/Student Senate/Staff-Please Car Pool  

Please arrive no later than 6:00 PM. Due to the status of construction, you may or may not be able to use the front drive by the light off of Six Mile. If you are not able to enter from Six Mile You may only be able to enter and exit the Stadium through the Learning Tree Gate onto the dirt road. If this is the case, please continue down the dirt road until it ends. Go through the gate by the Tennis courts and park in the Stadium lot behind and next to the FH. There are approximately 300 parking spaces. Please DO NOT tail gate in this area. This lot is first come/first serve. You will be the last group to depart the stadium, so we ask you to please be patient and responsible as good hosts and good sports.

Game Officials, Handicap Spectators, Concession Stand Drop off (pizza truck), Media, EMS      

You may or may not be able to use the front drive by the light off of Six Mile. If you are not able to enter from Six Mile You may only be able to enter and exit the Stadium through the Learning Tree Gate onto the dirt road. If so, continue down the dirt road until it ends. Go through the gate by the Tennis courts and carefully drive through the lot up the service drive at the front of the stadium. DO NOT Park or Drop off inside the orange cones. DO NOT block orange cone areas as this is a designated area for Emergency Vehicle (EMS). Overflow Handicap parking will be on the grass through the gate that leads to the Baseball field. There will be parking attendants to guide you. Game officials will park on the grass west of the service drive.

As soon as we know the status of entrance off Six Mile, the SHS Athletic Department will let people know, but this could be as late as the day before the game, but could be sooner. Otherwise, to access the Learning Tree lot to enter the Stadium area, please follow these directions: Farmington Road is East of Stevenson HS. Take Farmington Road to Curtis Rd. Curtis Road is between 6 and 7 mile roads off of Farmington and is marked by a traffic light. Go West on Curtis Road and continue (slowly) down Curtis to the Learning Tree far West parking lot. Turn left into the lot and continue through the gate. Do not park in the Learning Tree lot as this area is for FHS Buses! Please continue through the gate onto the dirt road-FHS spectators will park on the grass behind the visitor bleachers. SHS spectators will follow the dirt road until it ends, continue through the gate by the Tennis Courts and park in the Stadium lot. Overflow parking for SHS spectators will be on the grass area behind the visitor bleachers. Ticket Booths will OPEN at 5:30pm (Two booths at the front of the Stadium and one by the Visitor Stadium Bleachers), SHS Family and Student Passes will be sold at the front of the Stadium ONLY. All game tickets are $5.00! SHS Family passes are $90 and SHS Student passes are $45. Thank you for your cooperation, understanding, and PATIENCE!
