Literally VINTAGE advice By Cortney First, I didn't realize how TINY this book was, but that was my mistake. Second, the way the description read to me, this was a book filled with vintage advice for todays homemaker to "get back to basics". But it is LITERALLY just vintage advice, so a lot of the info felt really outdated (ex. the 4 glasses of milk per day suggestion), and I was really hoping for more of a modern take on vintage advice. I feel like there is a gap in the market right now of books dedicated to modern homemakers. However, this book is still filled with great advice, a wonderful look at the history of being a homemaker, and really is a fun read. 0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. There is just so much that we are no longer ... By Theresa There is just so much that we are no longer taught about caring for a home. I know SOOOO many women who are so busy with their careers that they don't know the basics of taking care of their home, budgeting, cooking, cleaning, and the power in that or the importance. I learned somethings that I will definitely apply to my life as I explore options to one day be a work from home mom or home-maker. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful.
