Dulies: The Flood Proofing Inspector is responsible for providing advanced engineering support services towards the delivery of the Manitoba Flood Mitigation Programs. The incumbent for the position will be responsible lbr the following: overseeing the development and construction processes for various flood protection projects; providing information and advice on the application process to applicants applying for flood assistance on how to flood protect individual properties; reviewing applications that have been submitted for flood protection projects; making recommendations concerning technical, policy, and financial eligibility; reviewing technical, construction, and financial details for approved projects with owners; preparing relevant development agreements for acceptance by owners; directing the services of the survey team; and, inspecting each project during construction to ensure minimum criteria are being adhered to. In addition, the incumbent will b responsible lbr reviewing invoices and other claims for expenses related to flood protection projects. ensuring accurate project files are maintained, and preparing final reports.
