INTRODUCING THE BVSD PROFESSIONAL LEARNING PATHWAYS We welcome you to our new Professional Learning Pathways. This takes the place of our old District‐PD days in the past. Our new, research‐based approach (The Mirage Report; Bruce Joyce & Barb Showers) will provide opportunity for: CHOICE FLEXIBILITY FOCUS AND IMMERSION Through Professional Learning Pathways, teachers will have the opportunity to select a pathway, or course, in which to engage throughout the en re district‐designated days. Although there are op ons for content‐based learning, teachers now have the opportunity to explore other aspects of Educator Effec veness standards. As teachers, you can choose a pathway that supports students with specific needs, offer strategies for interdisciplinary teaching, or other learning that meets the needs of your own individual professional growth goals. Our hope is that by offering a comprehensive list of courses, and more me to focus on one par cular interest or need, you will have the opportunity to see the in‐depth instruc onal changes and growth you have been yearning for, and ul mately feel that you can provide even be er educa onal spaces for students. We are excited to offer this new model to you. We hope it honors you as professionals and provides you the space to engage in learning that meets your needs.
