ABOUT YOUTH ALLIANCE We aim to build a movement of young leaders equipped to meet India’s problems by designing processes to identify and nurture young individuals with a spark to think innovatively for the larger social good. In the last 4 years we have closely engaged with college students and young professionals to facilitate them to translate their passion for social change into action. With 30 alumni initiatives & over 50 taking to non-conventional careers, we deeply value what it takes to defy the norm and carve their own path and now we invite change-makers beyond to join us and strengthen the movement to transform university ecosystems. With the support and guidance of eminent leaders like Anshu Gupta (Founder,Goonj), Ravi Gulati (Founder, Manzil), Shaheen Mistry (Founder & CEO, Teach For India), Neeraj Aggarwal (CEO, Rural Shores) , Venkat Krishnan (Give India) etc. we have developed 3 flagship programs:
(TheSocialChangeLab) ONUS aims to transform universities into breeding grounds for empathic leaders who apply their Head, Heart and Hand to drive change and solve India’s myriad problems. In a one year engagement, we work with a cohort of 25 students in each college. We work with 3 cohorts, over 3 years in a college and exit after setting up mechanisms to ensure sustenance of the culture of change-making by creating a critical mass of individuals who act as role models to set off ripples of change within the college ecosystem.
Change Festival is a celebration of the transformational experiments carried out by youth. The focus however is dual; along with impact of the initiative in outer world, it also focuses on inner transformation of doers.
Gramya Manthan is a rural immersion journey. It is an exercise in coming closer to our inner-self by moving far from our comfort zone and in delving deep into our conscience by being part of a different reality.
