IHSS Workers: Provider Enrollment Forms(SOC 846) Due April 15 To Avoid Termination on May 1 On February 1, 2016, In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) providers became eligible for overtime, travel time, and medical wait time. The California Department of Social Services (CDSS) has made changes to the IHSS program’s rules regarding these benefits. CDSS mailed several informational notices and forms to IHSS providers and recipients. The most urgent notice is the IHSS Program Provider Enrollment Agreement (SOC 846). The IHSS Provider Enrollment Agreement (SOC 846) was updated to include information regarding overtime and travel time pay, weekly hour maximums and the violations process. All IHSS providers must submit the Provider Enrollment Agreement (SOC 846) no later than April 15th. Providers who fail to return the form by the April 15, 2016 deadline will be terminated effective May 1, 2016. Terminated providers may be reinstated if they submit the signed form within 30 days of the termination date and still receive retroactive payment for any authorized services provided to eligible recipients during that 30-day period. If a terminated provider submits the signed form after June 1, 2016, they may be reinstated but will not be eligible for retroactive pay and will be paid only for authorized services provided on or after the date received.
