Participação: Para participar do Ranking Paulista o atleta deve estar federado e participar dos eventos oficiais da classe Veteranos. A partir do ano de 2017 o atleta que não participou de nenhum evento no ano de 2016 deixa de constar no ranking paulista no ano de 2017 e assim que voltar a competir volta com sua pontuação zerada, sem poder resgatar os pontos antigos. Pontuação: Em 2017 as pontuações foram modificadas em cada competição. Verifique tabela:
Desempate: O critério de desempate no caso de 2 ou mais atletas, tenham o mesmo número de pontuações será por número de vitórias como campeão, depois vice e terceiro lugar, caso ainda permaneça o empate, será usado o critério como melhor colocação em um evento mais concorrido. Mudança de classe e peso: Na mudança de classe M/F o atleta que no ano passado lutou no M1/F1 e no ano seguinte passa para o M2/F2 ele leva seus 50% para sua nova classe. Se no ano anterior o atleta lutou em duas categorias de peso diferente para o ano seguinte ele constara em somente um peso, ou seja, no primeiro peso que ele competir no ano seguinte e levando, a maior pontuação final da categoria anterior.
