ORDER As per the Government Orders read as l and 2 nd paper above, Government ha.ve issued orders revising pay and allowances of State Government employees, staff of Educational Institutions, teachers, University employees etc and the facility of option allowed on promotion/appointment from lower to higher time scale of pay, for fixation of pay under Rule 28A Part: I Kerala Service Rules has been withdrawn with effect from 01.02.2016. There aie officers who got promotion/appointment from lower to higher time scale of pay during the period from 01.07.2014 to 3 1.01.2016 and who had exercised option(a) for fixation of pay under Rule 28A Part I Kerala Service Rules. But the introduction of revised scale of pay with effect from 01.07.2014 makes it beneficial for some officers to exercise option(b) for fixation of pay. But such re-option has not been permitted under Rule 28A Part I Kerala Service Rules. However the implementation of general pay revision renders it necessary to make a reassessment of the beneficial date to be elected for fixation of pay undernder Rule 28A Part I Kerala Service Rules. 2. Government have examined the matter in detai.1 and are pleased to order that the officers, who got promotion/apointment from lower time scale of pay to higher time scale of pay du.ring the period from 01.07.2014 to 31.01.2016 and whose pay was fixed under option(a) Rule 28AIPart I Kerala Service Rules as option(b) was not beneficial, will be permitted, in reJ.axation of Rule 28A Part I Kerala Service Rules, to exercise option(b) under Ruic': 28A Part I Kerala Service Rules.
