Employment Record 1- Electricity and Power Plants Development Company - (2007 - ) From September 2007, I’m Member of the board of Directors of Electricity and Power Plants Development Company. This Company is active in investment in Independent Power Plants and is mainly owned by Bank Melli Iran, the greatest bank of Iran.
2- Khorram Abad 2000 MW CCPP BOO Project Company – (2006 - ) From the September 2006 I have been appointed as managing director and member of the board of directors of Khorram Abad 2000 MW Combined Cycle BOO Power Plant Project Company (KPGC). According to financial model of the project, Investment required is about 1100 Million Euro and main share holders and investors of the project are: Iran Power plant Investment Company, FARAB Company and Saba Power and Electricity Industries Company. 3- Iran Power plant Investment Company (SANA) - (2005- ) Iran Power plant Investment Company (SANA) is the greatest company in Iran which is active in investment in independent power plants. At the time being, the company has about 6000 MW under construction/negotiation. I serve the company as VP corporate planning and development. As the company implements the projects in subsidiary companies (SPV / SPC) in BOO/BOT basis, surveillance of project companies is a main responsibility of planning department. Financial evaluation of projects, contractual negotiations with government side and other normal planning affairs are some of main duties of my department 4- Trans Post Pars Company (TPP) - (2004-2005) After good performance in IPDC, I was invited to TPP as Deputy managing director and secretary of the Board of Directors as well. I was member of the board of directors of ITSD Company too. TPP is one of the four companies in Iran which have certificate for doing turnkey projects in HV Substation field up to 400 kV. At my entrance the company suffered many problems from project’s time lags to customer dissatisfaction and human resources problems. It is the hardest part of my career because solving this much of problem while being responsible is not easy! I have done many activities regarding Reorganizing and Reengineering of work processes for better and scientific operations management. Near the end of my presence in TPP, I was promoted to Vice President. Using Leadership and proper Strategies I got these results for company: 445% growth of sell 300% growth of return on investment 6.2% cost reduction I left the TPP because I could not compromise with head of the board regarding how the company should be managed. 5- Iran Power Development Company (IPDC) - (1998-2004) IPDC’s High Voltage Substations Development Project (department) was more or less an autonomous island within IPDC. It was a large networked complex project in multinational environment with cooperation of SIEMENS, ABB, ALSTOM and some other great local and foreign companies. As a matter of fact the project’s primary goal was to construct about 50 (finally increased to 72) HV substations (up to 400 kV voltage level) in several predetermined points in Iran while transferring technology for manufacturing HV power transformer, CB/DS, CT and CVT in Iran. It was decided to develop Iran Transfo Company for Manufacturing Power Transformers with cooperation of SIEMENS, develop Pars Switch Company for manufacturing Power CB/DS with cooperation of ABB and also establishing a new company (Nirou Trans Company) for manufacturing CT/CVT with cooperation of ABB. Also a new company established as a contractor for doing other jobs (design, procurement of LV items,…), it was Parsian company. Although it was hard to energize the substations and put them into the network simultaneous with the foresaid activities, but the project was completely successful; we reached and even developed our goals and made many other technology transfers such
as Digital Control Systems while energizing the substations at prescheduled times or with slight lags. My responsibilities in the project were as follows: Team work activity for construction management of about 72 HV Substations up to 400kV voltage level Project engineer Responsible for planning department Deputy project manager “Substations’ Main Apparatuses” Project Manager. Financial amount of this project was about 350 m$ For working in such project, in addition to project management process, it was a need to know international multisided contracts, international commerce, tendering process, financial issues and many other things! During my working years in IPDC, I provided some better ways for doing the job and some new reports and databases which helped to better controlling of processes. I got rewards for some of my suggestions for improvement. In my opinion, my working years in IPDC was equal to about 12 years work experience in any other company.
6- Petroleum Engineering and Development Company (PEDEC) - (1997-1998) PEDEC is responsible for managing and supervising the implementation of major oil and gas projects at National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC).I was working for PEDEC in "SOUTH PARS Gas Field" project (an international complex project) as project engineer. It was my first time to face with a great international project. During working in PEDEC, I became familiar with project planning and control.
