The above calendar reflects 180 student school days with no allowance for emergency closing days and 185 teacher days. Each school district will determine if emergency days are to be added to the end of the school year or subtracted from Winter and/or Spring Recess. If we have a significant amount of closed days prior to January 31, 2018, the winter recess may be eliminated. Ten month employees are urged not to schedule vacation during the school year since emergencies or weather conditions could change the above calendar. We urge anyone planning to take a trip in November, February, or April to consider purchasing travel insurance.
