Read for a Lifetime Program at Timothy Christian High School 2018-2019 Read for a Lifetime, sponsored by Jesse White, Secretary of State and State Librarian, and the Illinois Center for Book, is the first statewide reading program for high school students. It was designed to promote the enjoyment of reading by encouraging students to read both classic and contemporary literature, and rewarding them for their effort. To participate, sign up this fall in the Learning Commons, then read at least four titles from the list before April 1, 2019. Stop by the Learning Commons to let a librarian know which titles you’ve read, and you’ll receive a certificate of achievement signed by the Secretary of State and State Librarian.
