The Rye School District, grades one through eight, will begin school on Monday, August 31, 2015. Kindergarten classes will begin school on Tuesday, September 1, 2015. th

Registration for new students at Rye Elementary will be held the week of August 17 . Parents are invited to come to Rye Elementary during the hours of 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM to complete registration forms. Any new students are invited to attend an orientation session on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at 10:00 AM for Rye Elementary School. th

Registration for new students at Rye Junior High will be held the week of August 17 . Parents are invited to come to Rye Junior High during the hours of 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM to complete registration forms. Any new students are invited to attend an orientation session on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at 9:00 AM for Rye Junior High School. School hours for the Rye Elementary School will be 8:15 AM to 2:45 PM. Students may arrive after 8:00 AM. Rye Junior High School begins at 8:10 AM and students are dismissed at 2:50 PM. Students at Rye Elementary will receive a parent/student handbook to take home during the first week of school. Students at Rye Junior High will receive an agenda notebook with the parent/student handbook inside. This booklet provides an excellent overview of the programs, policies, and procedures at each school. Parents and students are encouraged to read this book carefully.
