BUY SCRIP TO SUPPORT MUSIC STUDENTS IN PARKROSE!! What is Scrip? Scrip is a fundraiser by way of purchasing gift cards. The amount you pay goes directly onto a gift card to a business of your choice that is then returned to you to spend or give as a gift. The participating businesses donate a portion of the money you pay back to the Parkrose Music Boosters who then use the money on various music education projects in Parkrose Schools. Who can purchase scrip? Anyone! Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, neighbors, etc.! Where do I get a scrip order form? Order forms are emailed out frequently, included in school announcements, and handed out at concerts and other events. Your school’s office and/or music teacher should also have extras on hand. How do you purchase scrip? Fill out the scrip order form with the gift cards you’d like to purchase clearly marked, include cash or a check made out to Bronco Boosters for the amount of gift cards you’re ordering, and turn it into your school’s office or music teacher on Mondays. You will receive your gift cards at your child’s school that same Friday if it’s a turn-in week, or the following Friday if it’s an off-week. When should I purchase scrip? Throughout the year, the turn-in days are every other Monday and every Monday in December. Turn-in dates left this year are February 26, March 19, April 9, April 23, May 7, May 21 and June 4. Why should I purchase scrip? Scrip is an incredibly easy way to raise money! The obvious use is to give the scrip gift cards as gifts. However, we all spend money on various things whether it be buying groceries, going out to eat with our families, shopping for clothing, etc. Why not pay for those goods with scrip gift cards and benefit the music students in Parkrose? Music Boosters pays for various music projects including supplies for music classrooms, sheet music, instruments, college scholarships, music event scholarships, bus costs for field trips, etc. Their support is vital to the success of our K-12 Music Program in Parkrose.
