Type the following… From:name Ex. from:john (shows emails from people named john) Ex. from:"john doe" (shows emails specifically from john doe) To:name Ex. to:john (shows emails that you sent to people named john) Ex. to:"john doe" (shows emails that you sent specifically to john doe) Subject:word Ex. subject:newsletter (shows emails with newsletter in the subject line) Ex. subject:"staff meeting" (shows emails with staff meeting in the subject line)

When searching for an attachment, you can search by file type…

- Multi-word relative dates (this week, last week, last year, etc…) - Ex. received:last week (shows emails received last week) - General days/months (Monday, Tuesday… April, May…) - Ex. received:April (shows emails received in April) - Specific dates (ex. September 15) - Ex. received:September 15 (shows emails received on Sept. 15th) *note: when using received search term, you don't need to use quotation marks
