Voter Participation: (Student Participation) There is a school-wide schedule for students to show their teacher how much they appreciate them during this week.
•
Rock The Vote Monday- Students wear their rock star teacher's favorite color.
•
Super Tuesday- Students bring their teacher one flower. Each student’s flower will be added to make one SUPER flower bouquet for their teacher. Teachers will have a vase.
•
Best Candidate Wednesday- Students bring their teacher a special note or draw them a picture. Let your teacher know why they are the best teacher.
•
Election Results Thursday- Students bring their teacher's favorite sweet treat or snack.
•
Kick-Back Friday- Students may bring their teacher a gift (or class parent may provide a class gift) to reward their teacher for being the best.
Fueling the Candidates: We are not relying on donations to feed our teachers this year, so food is totally covered! Yay! The daily menu for teachers is still being decided. Details will be available soon!
DFL (Duty Free Lunch):
Monday-Friday The candidates (teachers) will gather at Campaign Headquarters (teachers’ lounge) during lunch. Volunteers will be needed to cover their candidates post in the lunchroom each day.
Campaign Signs: (Door Decorating)
In the past, class parents have decorated their teacher’s door for Teacher Appreciation Week. It was requested that class parents NOT decorate their teacher’s door this year. A large campaign display to include every teacher will be on display in the main lobby. To assist with this fun project message Christi-Leigh Corbett @ 864-243-1947.
Lobbying the Candidates: (PTO Sponsored Teacher Gifts)
Each day during announcements, Mr. Byrd will draw a teacher's name and announce it. A gift basket, gift card or gift certificate will then be promptly delivered to that teacher. The PTO has purchased one very nice gift for each teacher and will give it to them during the week.
Poll Workers: (Volunteer Opportunities) Parents and Grandparents we need your help!!!

Dear FAE Community, 2016 is an important election year. Educate yourself on the candidates before you go to the polls to cast your votes. A lot is at stake for our country, state, county, community and public education. We hope this year’s Teacher Appreciation Week theme, VOTE, will help serve as a friendly reminder the importance of voting, but also to celebrate the individuals that educate and impact our children’s lives everyday.
