Sharing your contacts with Office 365 via Outlook on Windows and Mac Outlook 2016 or 2013 (Windows) You can only share your contacts via the Outlook application installed on your computer. At this time, it is not possible to share your contacts through the online version. 1. Open Outlook 2016 or 2013 on your computer and navigate to People by typing Ctrl + 3. 2. Right-click on the contacts group, on the left-side panel, you wish to share. Select Share > Share Contacts.

3. A Sharing invitation message will open. Type the email address(es) of the person(s) in your organization you want to share your contacts with in the To field. Separate each address with a semi-colon. If you want to change the email’s subject or add a message, do so. Then click the message Send button.

4. A Microsoft Outlook alert dialog will open asking if you want to share this contacts folder. Click the Yes button.

5. Recipients will receive your sharing invitation. They can view your shared contacts by opening Outlook on their computer and navigating to People by typing Ctrl + 3. 6. They should click on the Open Shared Contacts icon on the Outlook Ribbon Home Tab.

7. The Open Shared Contacts dialog will appear. They can type your name or click on the Name… button to select your link from a list of people. Once people are selected click on the OK button.

8. The shared contacts will appear on the left-side panel in the People app of Outlook under the heading Shared Contacts.

Outlook 2016 or 2011 (Mac) You can only share your contacts via the Outlook application installed on your Mac. At this time, it is not possible to share your contacts through the online version. 1. Open Outlook 2016 or 2011 on your Mac and navigate to People by typing Cmd + 3. 2. Right-click on the contact group, on the left-side panel, you wish to share. Select Share > Share Contacts.

3. A Contacts Properties window will open. Click the Add User… button.

4. A dialog window will open allowing you to search for the person you want to share with. Search for and select that person and click the Add button.

5. Now select the Permission Level for this user: None, Owner, Publishing Editor, Editor…. Tweak any other Permission details. When you are done, click the OK button

6. Your recipient will receive an email invitation to your shared contacts.

7. To view contacts shared with you, click on the Apple menu bar File > Open > Other User’s Folder….

8. Type the name of the user who shared contacts with you in the search field of the Open Other User’s Folder… dialog, select them in the list and click the Open button.

9. An alert message will appear telling you that Outlook was redirected…. Check the Always use my response for this server checkbox and then click the Allow button.

10. The contacts will now appear in Outlook’s left-side panel under the Shared Contacts section.
