How To Bid using Bidr 1. Text the code QCAANY to 33923 or (843) 606-5995. 2. You will receive a text message from Bidr, a software program for silent auctions. Bidr will ask for your name and then invite you to bid on an item. (When using a smart phone, click the link provided to view items and bid.) 3. Enter the item number. (Remember, all item numbers have a 0 in front.) (Item numbers can be found on the Item cards placed around the auction.)

7. Bidr will then notify you by text each time you are outbid and give you the option to bid again. 8. Once the Auction has closed, you will be notified by text if you placed the winning bid. Should you have any questions or need help with the auction process, please see the volunteers at the Bidding Concierge stationed throughout the auction area.

4. Once you’ve texted the item number, Bidr will inform you of the current bid amount. 5. Simply text in your bid amount. (No dollar signs or commas are needed.) 6. Bidr will send a confirmation text and give the option to “rebid,” in case of error.

When does the Silent Auction end? The Silent Auction ends on Saturday, November 26th, 2016 at 10:30pm. You may begin bedding at that time using Bidr. Please check out all bid by then.

What if I don’t want to bid on a silent auction item but would like to make a donation to The Youth Development Fund? To donate electronically, you must be registered for the auction and text the word DONATE. However, for those not registered for the auction, pledge slips will be available for cash, check and

credit card donations. I sent in the Auction code, and it says, “The code is not recognized or the item is closed for bidding.” You may have joined another auction or a Bidr demo. Please text the word EXIT and use the correct event code to join again. See a volunteer for further assistance. Does the link lead me to an app download? No. The link is a mobile site specific to your phone number, allowing you to easily scroll through and view items. What if I misbid? After you bid, you receive a congratulations text that says, “Reply REBID within three minutes if this is incorrect.” If you make a mistake, simply text the word REBID to remove your bid. If the three-minute mark has passed, please see a volunteer to help. I typed in an item number and did not get a response, or it says the item was not recognized. What do I do? Check the number to be sure you entered it correctly, including a zero at the beginning. Also note some cell phone carriers are faster than others. How do I pay for my auction items? If you have already registered and given your payment information, you will be given an opportunity to check out once the auction ends. If you have not registered, you can text the word REGISTER from your smart phone to load this information. Otherwise, visit the checkout table to pay with cash, check or credit card. Do I have to pay using my phone? No. Paying over the phone is easy and saves time. However, at checkout you can provide your card, change the card you wish to use or pay with cash or check.

Is it safe to enter my card information over the phone? Yes. The Bidr system is completely secured and PCI compliant. Who do I know whether I’ve won? Check to see which items you have won under "Cart". How do I uplift my winning bid? Contact our Bidding concierge in person at the Gala to coordinate item(s) pickup directly after the Auction. If you are unable to pick up your items immediately after the auction, you may contact us at [email protected]. We will ship your items anywhere in the US. Shipping costs are not included.
