Line up curve cut out shape 1/2” down from opposite fabric corners and make your cut in the curve cut-out using a rotary cutter (dashed red line in Diagram 1). See Diagram 1. Set cut shapes to the side. Repeat for all 5” squares, both main fabric and background fabric. (Do not cut 4” squares.) 2. From your stack of pieces take curve shape A and place it on top of curve shape B right sides together. The bottom fabric should extend about 1/2” past top fabric. See diagram 2. You will not need to pin. Begin sewing easing the two bias edges together as you sew. Repeat with all cut pieces. You should have (192) pieced squares. See Diagram 3. 2. Press blocks– you will not need to clip curves. To reduce bulk press seams open or press seam in either direction.
