Standard School Year (185 days)

Requirements:

Candidates most hold a valid Ohio Department of Education Integrated Social Studies, Adolescent to Young Adult license or evidence that one is attainable by August 1, 2017.

Preferred Requirements:

Technology literacy and technology integration in instructional practices, strong communication skills, evidence of successful differentiation of instruction, multiple assessments of student learning, data use, and teamwork.

Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging social studies lessons aligned to the State Standards and Ohio Hi-Point Board approved curriculum. Maintain a high expectation for student performance and provide supports to help build mastery skills. Use scientifically proven instructional practices and assess student learning. Work collaboratively with students, parents, and school personnel.
