ABOUT SNIST

Sreenidhi Institute of Science & Technology, (SNIST) is established in 1997 with the approval of All India Council for Technical Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh and is affiliated to JNTUH, Hyderabad. It is running a number of under graduate and post graduate programmes and is also engaged in research activity leading to Ph.D. Sreenidhi is recognized by Department of Scientific and Industrial Research as scientific and Industrial research organization. The institution got accredited by NBA of AICTE within 5 years of its existence. It has received World Bank assistance under TEQIP, from 2010 forward the institution attained autonomous status and it is the first college under JNTUH to get such on autonomous status. The faculty of SNIST are actively involved in R&D activities and the results of such research activity has been published. SNIST have several research projects from different sponsoring agencies.

About the Department

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) was established in the year 1997-98.The Dept offers B.Tech.,M.Tech.(DSCE),M.Tech (VLSI & Embedded Systems) Programs. The ECE Dept B.Tech program has been accredited thrice by NBA and PG programs M.Tech (DSCE), M.Tech (VLSI& Embedded Systems) also accredited by NBA.. JNTU has recognized the ECE Dept as Research Center for Ph.D Programs. ECE Dept. Laboratories are well developed with state of the art facility to impart quality education and support research activities. The Labs are also equipped with Vivado system design suite and Cadence (Front end and Backend tools), 7 Series FPGAs and Zed Development Boards are used for design and verification of VLSI Designs. Digital MATLAB,CCS, Keil vision, Vx works CDMA / GSM simulation etc. The Dept has highly qualified and broad mix of senior faculty members with wide experience in various fields of academics as well as Industry. R&D activities of the Department are focused in the fields of Advanced Communication, Digital design and Signal processing, Image Processing, VLSI design, Embedded Systems Wireless Communication and Sensor networks, etc.ECE department has got R&D projects from AICTE,UGC, RCI,DRDO and other research organisations of worth Rs 50 lakhs.ECE department also Rs 22 lakhs received grants from AICTE for FDP and Modernisation of labs.ECE department is enriched with 13 doctorates and most of the faculty members have registered for Ph.D programs and engaged in pursuing research, publishing papers, conducting faculty development activities along with imparting Education to UG and PG Students.

About IETE The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) is India's apex professional society, founded in the year 1953 for promoting the general advancement of Telecommunication, Electronics and Information Technology and to facilitate exchange of information and ideas. It endeavours to respond to the needs of fast changing and emerging technologies and strengthens competence of the professionthrough academic projects, courses and industry coordination through its network of over 125000 members, IETE student forums (ISFs), 64 centres and numerous sub-centres in India and Nepal. IETE is a member of Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS)

About IETE Hyderabad Centre IETE Hyderabad centre was established in 1973. It has around 76 ISFs and two sub-centres with more than 1800 student members, 1900 corporate members. Hyderabad Centre is vibrant with Padma awardees, distinguished professors and participation from industry, academia and government. IETE Hyderabad centre has around 500 students annually enrolling for academic projects, internships.
