First Year Teacher Salary: First-year teachers start at the second year teacher salary schedule Salary Supplements: For certified middle or high school levels in the areas of math, science, social studies and English language arts; All Special Education, Visual Arts, World Languages, Business, Marketing, Computer Technology and CATE Certified classroom teachers in that subject area Alternative Certification Fees Reimbursement: Reimbursement for all fees associated with the program, including application fees, course fees, travel, etc. Loan Forgiveness: Teachers may request SC Teacher Loan forgiveness at the rate of one year of forgiveness for every two years of service as a teacher in the district Travel Reimbursement: Travel reimbursement for teachers who reside outside a 30 mile radius from the school Undergraduate Loan Forgiveness: Teachers may be eligible for up to $5000 per year, for up to seven years, to pay off outstanding undergraduate loans
