Stanley Grimes Conservation Scholarship to be awarded by the
MERRIMACK COUNTY CONSERVATION DISTRICT “Conserving the Natural Resources and Cultural Heritage of Merrimack County”
The Stanley Grimes Conservation Scholarship is in memory of Stanley Grimes, Sr. Mr. Grimes served on the Merrimack County Conservation District Board of Supervisors for 33 years and was also active in his community of Pembroke, NH. Among many other civic roles, Mr. Grimes served on the school board in Pembroke. A $1,000 Scholarship will be awarded to a Merrimack County resident who has been accepted into a two or four-year program of study in the field of Agriculture, Forestry, Environmental Science, Horticulture, Wetland Science, Environmental Engineering, Soil Science, or other related Natural Resources program. A completed application form must be submitted to the Merrimack County Conservation District Scholarship Committee by Friday, May 4, 2018. Eligibility Requirements: • • • •
Resident of Merrimack County, New Hampshire. Accepted at a two or four-year college/university (full-time status). Enrolled in a program of study in the field of Agriculture, Forestry, Environmental Science, Horticulture, Wetland Science, Environmental Engineering, Soil Science, Wildlife, or a related Natural Resources program. Must be attending at accepted college/university in the Fall 2018.

The winner of the Stanley Grimes Conservation Scholarship will be notified early June 2018. The Scholarship will be awarded directly to the student after the successful completion of the student’s first semester. A copy of the Enrollment Letter from the College/University for the second semester would be acceptable.
