Upon successful completion of this course the student should be able to: Demonstrate the practical knowledge of the basic electrical wiring of the logical concepts. Demonstrate the practical knowledge of electrical and pneumatics sensors. Solve, program, simulate and implement different industrial problems using the LOGO! Siemens PLC- HW, and LOGO! Soft Comfort SW. Programming the PLC via constructing Ladder diagram and the functional blocks. Solve the Automated Pneumatic problems, simulate using the Automation Studio SW, and hardware implementing and piping. Regulations I. Attendance: Attendance of classes is obligatory. Absence must be verified according to the university regulations. II. Quizzes and Exams: All quizzes and exams are closed book. You must bring your own calculator to exams. Sharing of calculators will not be allowed III. Conduct in classroom: NO cellular phones, iPods (or any other MP3 player), PDAs, and/or laptops are allowed during the duration of the class period. Absolutely NO TEXTING during the duration of the class period. NO food is permitted during the lectures. Good Luck
