Tampa Bay Lightning: Head Coach and Player Bios Head Coach: Jon Cooper Cooper was named Tampa Bay's eighth head coach on March 26, 2013. Cooper, 50, begins his sixth season as Lightning head coach and has amassed a 188-120-35 record. Cooper's .599 win percentage is the highest in franchise history.
