Salary range: $35,446 - 61,843* *Please note, amount shown is based on the 2015-16 salary schedule. Actual amount will differ dependent upon current negotiations. Position requirements: Valid Oregon license with Mathematics (advanced math preferred) endorsements for grades 7-8 with Highly Qualified status required prior to start date of August 29, 2016 Essential duties include: 1. Develops and maintains a classroom environment conducive to effective learning within the limits of the resources provided by the District. 2. Instructs students. 3. Grades papers, assignments and assessments promptly and accurately. 4. Assigns relevant homework. 5. Tests and evaluates students’ abilities and progress.. 6. Prepares report cards and progress reports. 7. Completes required paperwork in specified time and manner. 8. Plans a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests and abilities of students. 9. Assists in the selection of books, equipment and other instructional materials. 10. Assists students with tracking assignments and managing behaviors. 11. Plans and supervises purposeful assignments for Instructional Assistant(s). 12. Designs and implements appropriate instruction of subject assigned in accordance with students, District curriculum and State Standards. 13. Facilitates conferences with students, parents and other staff members. 14. Utilizes a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media, consistent with the needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groups involved. 15. Assesses the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and maintains such records as required by law and by District policy.
