Speaker Profiles Neil Allen Neil is a Barrister at 39 Essex Chambers and Lecturer at University of Manchester. Neil teaches undergraduate and postgraduate students and trains health & social care and legal professionals in addition to his part time practice from Chambers.
Natalie Brown Natalie is the IMCA Developmental Lead for Statutory Advocacy at ASIST (Advocacy Services in Staffordshire). Natalie has worked in advocacy for nine years. She is passionate about advocacy services and believes strongly in the invaluable safeguard that it provides in upholding the rights of vulnerable individuals.
District Judge Bellamy District Judge Bellamy sits in Sheffield Combined Court and deals with Court of Protection and family law matters.
Fenella Morris QC Fenella is a Barrister at 39 Essex Chambers. She is a versatile practitioner and is recognised by Chambers and Partners as a leader in the field of human rights law and the Court of Protection, amongst other areas.
Annabel Lee Annabel is a Barrister at 39 Essex Chambers. She is frequently instructed by the Official Solicitor and public bodies in CoP matters. During her time as a judicial assistant to the Supreme Court, Annabel was involved in the landmark case colloquially known to practitioners as “Cheshire West”.
Simon Burrows Simon is a Barrister at Kings Chambers specialising in matters concerning mental health and mental capacity law and has been involved in leading cases concerning the interface of the two acts.
