The Global-Asia Management Programme 1. Introduction The Global-Asia Management Programme is designed to accelerate the career trajectories of high potential Singaporeans. The programme will support you financially through your MBA. This includes tuition fees support and the provision of a living allowance. During your time in business school, you will have the opportunity to intern with a top company in a role specifically designed to help you develop the ability to operate effectively in Asia, and globally. Upon graduation, you will spend two years in one of the programme’s partner companies, working in roles which will help you further develop your ability to operate effectively across borders. Our partner companies will ensure that you have a clear career development plan with unique opportunities to serve in roles which will stretch your abilities and project your influence beyond Singapore’s borders.

Eligibility Criteria Applicants must:  Be Singapore Citizens  Not have outstanding obligations (e.g. bond, gentlemen’s agreement)  Not be existing employees of EDB or the partner companies  Be enrolled in or have applied to a full-time MBA programme (Applicants who have started their MBA programmes must have at least 6 months of their programme remaining at the point of application.) The ideal candidate would have between 4-6 years of work experience, locally and/or internationally. Note: Successful applicants must not have any employment obligations at the point of accepting the Global-Asia Management Programme.

5. Application Process 1. Applications close on 22nd May 2013 (Wednesday), 23:59 (SGT). 2. Eligible applicants with completed applications will be notified by 23rd May 2013 (Thursday) to complete an automated video interview. The automated video interview must be completed within a week of receiving the notification. 3. Shortlisted applicants will be interviewed by the partner companies by 26th June 2013 (Wednesday). Interviews will take place either over the phone or in person, subject to scheduling limitations. 4. Applicants will be informed by 5th July 2013 (Friday) if you have been further shortlisted for the Assessment Centre. The Assessment Centre will be held between 22nd (Monday) and 24th (Wednesday) July 2013 in Singapore. Instructions to apply can be found in Annex B. Note: All applicants must be available to attend the Assessment Centre. Overseasbased applicants1 will be required to return to Singapore for the Assessment Centre and are advised to inform your school administration of this requirement and make the necessary arrangements when applying for the Global-Asia Management Programme.

Overseas-based applicants participating in the Assessment Centre will be reimbursed for the cost of your return economy airfare.

Write a cover letter (approx. 1 page) containing the following information: - Why you are applying for the Global-Asia Management Programme - Future career plans - Summary/highlights of your key academic/career experiences, and why you chose to undertake an MBA - What makes you unique - Why should you be considered for the Global-Asia Management Programme and what can you contribute to the programme/partner companies 3. Submit proof of admission or application to your MBA programme Note: A PDF of your relevant transcripts/admissions letter may be used as proof of admission. If you have not been admitted into your MBA programme, a PDF of the acknowledgement/confirmation of your application may be used as proof of application. 4. A completed application shall comprise: a.
