Awizardtellsyouthatthelowerlevelsofthedungeonarevery dangerousandaloneadventurerwillbeatadisadvantage-also true,butnotveryusefulinfowhenyouareplayingasologame! AnotherdoorwayinthenortheastatK14takesyouthrougha seriesofrooms.AtN6,youwillfighttowinKingCleowyn'sKey whichisneededtounlockanearbydoorandwillbeused extensivelyonlowerlevels.Furtherthrough,atG2,anotherfight willgainyouKingCleowyn'sLockpick,whichwillalsobeuseful later.  Castdetectinthesoutheast(B14)tofindasecretwall.Inhere, ateleportcanonlybeusedbyLevel20charactersupwardsand takesyoutoLevel5Thieves'Den.  3)TheSoldiers'Quarters  ReachedfromtheDungeonEntrance,youcanreachtheTreasuryfrom hereand,later,Level2theBasementandbeyond.Infact,it turnsintoausefulshortcut.ItisalsoaroutebackfromThe Prisonusingtwoteleportsinahiddenareainthebottomright. YouarriveatC13,thengothroughD14toreachM13(andvice versatoreachthePrison).  You'lllearnfromNPCsthatyoucanacquirenewskillsinthe dungeon.You'llalsobetoldthatunderCleowyn'sPalaceisamaze infestedwiththieves.Theyseemtheonlyoneswhoknowhowtoget throughthething.Anorcbarbarianwilltellyouthatpolarbears andicelionsinfestthelowerpartsofthedungeonandatroll rangerwarnsyoutotakeheedofthe"KeepOut"signattheendof thecorridorandtolookoutfortraps. Asquarecorridoraroundthissectionhasafewroomsoffit.One containssomeelfbarbarians(C5)whichoftencarryworthwhile treasure-Ipickedupsomegoodmagicalswordsandarmourhere.A goodlockpickisneededforonenortherndoorandanotherinthe south(K3andC6).  4)TheHallofDoors  Asmallerarea,just8by16,reachedfromtheVestibuleandthe DungeonEntrance.Onceagain,onlytheouterareaisimmediately accessible.ThecentrecanonlybereachedbyteleportatD16and thereisalockedroompastD1whichcanbeunlockedwithablue lockpick.Inhere,atE1,isateleporttotheMausoleumonlevel 3.AteleportfromTheTreasuryleadstoalockedroomatC16.  You'lllearnthatthewizardcametoTwinionandcausedthe volcanotoerupt.Hiscastleisburieddeepinthebowelsofthe mountain.Atrollclerictellsyousomeoneleftaruneonthe floorwhichsaidthattoreachtheKing'sApartmentyoumusttake aturnfortheworst.AnotherNPCtellsyouscrollsandamulets containmagicherebutthemagicinthemissoonexhausted.  Onceyouhaveenteredthecentresection,you'llfindfourrooms, eachwithanencounter,somewithverygoodtreasureespecially elfclericsandroguesatF9andgoblinswithgoldcoinsatF11.A teleportatC5leadstoTheBasementinLevel2.  5)TheTreasury  Another8by16area.LOTSoftrapdoorsinherewhichwillshowup withTrueSeeing.AllleadtoTheBasement,Level2,sometoan areawhichcanonlybereachedbythismethod.  Yes,therearethreesecretareasaroundthecorridor.One southernareacanonlybedroppedintoviatrapdoorsfromthe Treasury.Aone-waydoorleadsbacktothecorridoratE4.  AteleportfromtheHallofDoorswilllandyouinanotheratP15. Fromhere,makeyourwaytoP8whereanotherteleportwilltake youacrossthenorthendofthecorridortotheleftsideofthe area.There'sacomplicatedseriesofstairsandone-waywalls startingatI1.ThesewilltakeyoutotheSoldiers'sQuartersand backdown-twice-toallowyoutoreachtwomoreareasdownthis side.  TherearesomelucrativefightsatN5andO5and,finally,a teleporttoTheGreatCorridor,Level3,atA1.  2)PalaceCorridor  Seeminglynotmuchhere.Youcanonlyaccessthethreecorridors directly.OneNPCtellsyoutheobjecttoopenlockeddoorsison thefirstlevel.ThisisthePalaceKeywhichwefoundinThe Vestibule.Anothersaysthereare3secretareasinthislevelbut theycan'tbeenteredfromthiscorridor.True.Theonlywayinis fromTheRuneRoomonLevel3,whichyouwon'tbeabletodofora whileyet.Athirdsaysthatnotalltrapsaredangerous;she foundausefulkeydownone.  SomeadvancewarningfromanotherNPCletsyouknowthatthe entrancetoKingCleowyn'sApartmentsareguardedbyadwarf calledDeldwinnonLevel3.Youarewarnednottotrytofighthim asheisenchantedandcannotbekilledbymortals.AnOrcKnight alsowarnsthattheKing'sPalaceisfilledwithspiritsofthe tormenteddeadandtolookforanasymmetryinthePalaceifyou wishtohearthetruthaboutthedeadking.  YoucanreachTheVestibulefromdoorsatthetopleft(O1,P2) andstairsdowntoTheRuneRoomatO16andP15.AdooratC5is lockedbuttranslatingtherunesonthetapestrynexttoittells youthatnoneshallpasssaveonewhoholdsthekeytothePalace. ThisallowsyoutoreachthedoorsatA1andA2whichleadto Cleowyn'sPalace.  3)Cleowyn'sPalace  Atoughareawithvariousundeadlurchingaroundsuchasghosts, bansheesandnightmares.AnNPCneartheentrancefromthePalace CorridortellsyouKingCleowynappearsonhisthroneonspecial occasionsandwon'tleaveuntilallmortalshaveleftthepalace. So,whatishere?Notalot.Somedoorscanbeopenedwithablue lockpick(seemycommentsearlieraboutchoiceoflockpicks),many moreforcedopen.Therearemonstersofallsorts,someeasy,some tough.IhadamajorbattleatI16butonlywonalousyorange lockpick!ThemostusefulplacetofindisateleportatD11 whichleadstotheSoldiers'QuartersC13whichleadstothemain areaviaanotherteleport.Ausefulshortcut.  2)RuneRoom  YouwillenterthissectionfromeitherTheGreatCorridoronthe samelevelorbystairsfromLevel2PalaceCorridor.Along corridorwindsroundthreesidesbutyouhavetoexploreitintwo sections,andtherearesixmainareasabove,allofwhichhave lockedrooms-withoutkeyholes.  AnNPCwilltellyouthattherearealotofsecretdoorsinthis areabuthecan'tworkoutthecorrectsequencetoopenthem.He wisheshehadamorecompletemapofthearea.Healsosaysyou won'tgetanywhereunlessyouhavetheKing'sRing.Anothersays thatonceyoufindakeyinthisarea,seekthehiddendoorand followyourdestiny.Thedoorappearsonlywhenyouhavetheright key.Whereitleadshedoesn'tknow.Athirdtalksaboutthe Mausoleum.Therearemanywaysthroughitbutfewarerewarding.
