TRG 178th Session: “A Trainer’s Journey” by Ramiz Allawala
The trainer’s resource group On the 178th TRG meet‐up, presented Ramiz Allawala, Chief Executive Gulfstone Leadership Training & Development to present his successful journey and reveal his secrets that lead to success and the hurdles he had faced during his journey.
Ramiz Allawala believes life can be successful if you live happily, positively and gratefully. His presentation was based on six chore chapters that he came across during his journey to become a trainer.
His life began slightly different as compared to other children. A good school, great neighborhood, craze for swimming, and a perfect father. He spent most of his time playing with his toys, while his father’s conversation with his companions kept pouring into his ears.
Those conversations later on proved to be a great source of knowledge and understanding for him. He was able to question intelligently as compared to children of his age, which impressed many.
Life is all about taking risks, Ramiz Allawala believes that every time you take a risk taking step, you open doors to learning and a better understanding of things. Most of us, including many trainers think they know everything, however most of us do not know, what they don’t know. Ramiz Allawala suggested that you should grab opportunity that comes your way to learn what you don’t know, you don’t know.
Moreover, he added that a trainer’s life will only be successful if the process of learning and improving never stops. Your leadership skills can enhance if you keep on learning the lessons life is ready to teach you, with the help of your family, your luck, your mentors and the resources around you.
Ramiz Allawala says, it is very important to analyze yourself, just because you are a good teacher, you cannot presumably be a good trainer, or vice versa. You have to understand the difference between training & development with teaching. You must know what you want and how, then only you will take the route to it.
Ramiz Allawala added colors to his presentation with his practical life experiences that were valuable for the participants and they thoroughly enjoyed. Every word of his presentation was a lesson for the attendants which included many youngsters.
