Speaker Biographies: SETH GORDON-LIPKIN serves as the Education Project Director in ADL’s Washington, DC Regional Office. Seth oversees education programs throughout D.C., Maryland, Virginia, and North Carolina. Through the D.C. region’s A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE® Institute and No Place for Hate® initiative, Seth manages anti-bias education programs and bullying prevention initiatives in local public and private schools, professional development opportunities for educators, and peer training programs, designed to empower students to address bias in their schools and communities. Additionally, Seth directs ADL’s Words to Action education programs for the Jewish community, teaching participants to recognize and confront anti-Israel bias and anti-Semitism on campus. Finally, Seth oversees two Holocaust education programs for the D.C. regional office, facilitating local Echoes & Reflections trainings and serving as the coordinator for ADL’s national Bearing Witness Summer Institute.
NOUF BAZAZ is a Senior Fellow at the World Organization for Resource Development & Education (WORDE) where she develops trainings on implementing community mental health and psychosocial support programs. Previously, Ms. Bazaz served as the Program Director of ICC Crossroads, a program of WORDE that provides counseling, case management, and positive youth development programming to refugee and immigrant families. As part of these roles, she also provides technical assistance to Bridging Refugee Youth & Children’s Services (BRYCS) including the development of an online course on discrimination & bullying of refugee youth. Ms. Bazaz has a decade of experience serving diverse populations including refugees, asylum seekers, survivors of sexual trafficking, incarcerated males, ethnic minorities and immigrants, indigenous women, and women in conflict zones. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Counseling at the George Washington University and holds a M.A. in Trauma and Violence Transdisciplinary Studies from New York University.
BETH TABACHNICK, LCSW-C, is a clinical social worker with the Montgomery County Police Department Crisis Intervention Team (MCPD CIT) providing direct clinical crisis services, facilitating trainings to law enforcement and the community on a range of behavioral health topics, and acting as a clinical liaison between law enforcement and mental health providers. Previously Ms. Tabachnick worked as a therapist at the Montgomery County Crisis Center from 20022014 providing in-person, telephonic, and community crisis intervention services; she also served as co-coordinator of the MCPD CIT training program while at the Crisis Center. Ms. Tabachnick holds an MSW with a concentration in mental health from the University of Maryland, Baltimore.
