They did this through getting other small groups and organizations to be affiliated and represented in Port Vila through three large political organizations, namely West Papua National Coalition for Liberation (WPNCL) , National Parliament of West Papua (NPWP) and National Federated Republic of West Papua (NFRWP).Through these three large organizations, they then established a new Umbrella organization, called United Liberation Movement for West Papua (ULMWP). The formation of ULMWP by the leaders of the three big political organisations is a clear demonstration of their sincerity, commitment and determination to be united in their efforts not only to achieve their membership at MSG or Pacific Islands Forum, but importantly their inalienable right independence. This is a huge breakthrough for the people of West Papua, in terms of their unity, political status and a better co-ordinated roadmap which will further unite and to guide all the West Papuan in their struggle to be freed from Indonesian. We want to thank all the West Papua support groups throughout the globe, and especially those in Australia, because over the years the Australian Government has predominantly cursed and taken advantage of our Melanesian brothers and sisters far too long. All of us have on different occasions, expressed our deep concerns about the past and recent violence and loss of life in West Papua, but at this stage we are convinced that we can still do more. Because of this reasons, and as a chairman of Vanuatu Free West Papua Association and West Papua Unification Committee, and on behalf of these two committees, I wish to sincerely and humbly request that all the members of all the West Papua Support Groups in Australia if they could kindly give support to Paul Madden’s concept of establishing a single political party namely Free West Papua Party (FWPP) which will do nothing else, except to focus on West Papua issues. If the Australian support groups can work together to change the heart of the Australian Government towards West Papua then this would go a long way to progressing West Papua’s freedom. It is our hope and prayer that you will continue to be encouraged and empowered to find joy and peace in being the loud voice of the voiceless people of West Papua. Yours Faithfully,
