The following observations were obtained during a trial of an I.C. engine. Fuel used = 5.5 kg/hr Calorific value of the fuel = 10500 kcal/kg I.H.P. = 25 Cooling water used = 12 kg/min Temp. rise of cooling water = 30oC Temp. rise of 10 kg water by exhaust gases per min = 30oC Calculate indicated thermal ne and draw heat balance sheet for the engine.
