Michael Queenan, Mayor Neil Crouse, Timothy Egan, Thomas Flood and David Sutz, Trustees None Pat Prozzillo, Fire Department Chief, Robert Weyant, Highway Superintendent, Planning Board Chair, Maria Hunter.
I. Administrative Business: a. Acceptance of Minutes: Motion was offered by Trustee Flood, seconded by Trustee Crouse, to accept the minutes of the regular meeting held December 12, 2013. ADOPTED AYES 5 Queenan, Crouse, Egan, Flood, Sutz NOES 0 Motion was then offered by Trustee Sutz, seconded by Trustee Crouse, to accept the minutes of the meeting held December 30, 2013. ADOPTED AYES 5 Queenan, Crouse, Egan, Flood, Sutz NOES 0 b. Approval of Abstract: Motion was offered by Trustee Egan, seconded by Trustee Sutz, to approve Abstract 15 containing vouchers 130903 – 130938 totaling $1,062,685.18. ADOPTED AYES 5 Queenan, Crouse, Egan, Flood, Sutz NOES 0 c. Closing of Escrow Account: Motion was offered by Trustee Egan, seconded by Trustee Flood, to close escrow account D495 (Cardaropoli) as recommended by Building Department Clerk Maria Rubio. ADOPTED AYES 5 Queenan, Crouse, Egan, Flood, Sutz NOES 0 d. Use of Building Request: Motion was offered by Trustee Egan, seconded by Trustee Crouse, to approve the request to use the meeting room on January 26, 2014, 1:30PM – 8PM, received from the family of fireman Michael Hansen. ADOPTED AYES 5 Queenan, Crouse, Egan, Flood, Sutz NOES 0 e. Fire Department Equipment Request: Motion was offered by Trustee Egan, seconded by Trustee Sutz, to approve Fire Department Requisition 2014-01 totaling approximately $235.15 for the purchase of eye glass kits for masks. Deputy Village Clerk McClennan stated a bid opening was held on January 7, 2014 at 11AM for the purchase of a vehicle for the Fire Department. The bid notice was printed in the Times Herald Record on December 16, 2013 and the following bids were received: Whiteside of St. Clairsville, Inc., St. Clairsville, OH $35,800.00 Deputy Clerk McClennan stated Chief Prozzillo has reviewed the bid and feels that it is responsible and should be accepted. Motion was then offered by Trustee Egan, seconded by Trustee Sutz, to accept the bid received from Whiteside of St. Clairsville in the amount of $35,800 for the purchase of a 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe. ADOPTED AYES 5 Queenan, Crouse, Egan, Flood, Sutz NOES 0 III. New Business
There was no new business to discuss.
IV. Board Member/Department Comments: Trustee Sutz wanted to compliment the Highway Department for the fantastic job they have been doing on the roads, during this messy winter season. Trustee Egan complimented the Fire Department on the new way Chief Prozzillo has implemented the new way of responding to the fire calls. V. Public Comment: Maria Hunter asked for an update on the status of the letter to the DOT. Regarding the traffic light timing, and Mayor Queenan responded that it was mailed earlier this week. Mrs. Hunter than provided the board with an update of the Woodbury Common expansion, and mayor Queenan stated that he would be sure that the ESO members would be made aware of the access to the mall. Mrs. Hunter than asked about the pre-disaster mitigation disaster plan. Trustee Egan than said he would take care of it. Superintendent Weyant, stated that he has been in touch with Dominick Greene, emergency planner of the OCDES, who is willing to help us out with the disaster plan.
