Churches across the country are participating in the 2nd annual “Take a Hike from Cancer” campaign from June 4 to 10. Your White Plains Cancer Companions will have a poster ready for you to sign up to set your walking goal on Sundays before and after each service beginning May 21 through June 4th. This year you will have an opportunity to honor a loved one by dedicating your walk to someone who has been impacted by cancer. On Sundays, June 11 and 18, stop by our poster to record your accomplishment. We will total the number of participants and hours walked for our entire congregation!

*Call To Worship Creator God, we come into your house with thanksgiving and praise. Praise the God that made all that is. Life-giving Savior, we hear your call. Praise Jesus the Christ who calls us to go into all the world. Spirit of Power, you are the presence of God with us every day. We are not alone. Jesus calls us to go but is always with us on our journey. Praise be to God. UMH#571
Passing of the Peace Time of Prayer - The Lord’s Prayer Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
*Affirmation of Faith We believe in God, maker of all things, provider of all things, who loves all people. We follow Jesus, the Christ, the Revealer of God, who taught us to love, who gave us courage to trust God's grace, and who bid us to take up our cross and follow Him. He knows us for who we are, heals the wounds of our hearts, and makes us new. In his death and resurrection we see the deepest truth of life. We rely on the power and presence of the Holy Spirit, who empowers us for self-giving love. We give thanks for the Church, the Body of Christ, and for the gift of forgiveness, the power of the resurrection, and the mystery of eternal life. Therefore, we devote ourselves to disciplined practice of the way of Jesus in our daily lives, so that we may grow in faithfulness and serve God in humble confident love for the sake of healing the world. Amen.
Gloria Patri Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. Amen.
