Volunteers  Needed     Castillero  Families-­‐   Message  from  the  Sports  Boosters:   I  am  excited  to  report  that  Castlillero  may  be  participating  in  a  new  sports  league  comprised  of   middle  schools  within  San  Jose  Unified  School  District.  Teams  will  include  cross  country,   track,  volleyball,  basketball  and  soccer.    Many  local  schools  with  successful  sports  programs  rely   on  the  generosity  of  families  supporting  their  booster  clubs.  I  am  pleased  to  report  that  several   of  our  parents  are  forming  a  booster  club  here  at  Castillero  to  raise  funds  to  benefit  all  of  our   students.  Money  raised  will  help  purchase  and  upgrade  physical  education  equipment  used  by   all  students,  as  well  as  funding  athletic  programs.  To  help  launch  the  booster  club,  please   email  [email protected]  or  contact  my  office.  Skill  sets  most  needed  include  finance,  web   design  and  fundraising.  It  is  a  great  time  to  be  a  Cobra  as  we  offer  an  exciting  new  middle   school  sports  program.  Thank  you  for  your  support.       Message  from  Foundation:   The  Castillero  Education  Foundation  is  looking  for  volunteers  to  help  in  support  of  our  Academic  Enrichment   Mission  for  the  2015-­‐2016  school  year.  

   

We  are  looking  for  2  parents  one  to  be  the  liaison  to  the  Math  and  the  other  to  the  Science  Department.   These  roles  involve  meeting  with  the  department  chairs  and  reporting  back  to  the  board  on  any  suggestions  for   activities  or  funding  requests.  

   

We  are  also  looking  for  a  volunteer  coordinator  to  oversee  all  of  the  Foundations  volunteer  needs.   Also  we  are  looking  for  an  Event’s  Coordinator  to  oversee  the  Foundations  various  activities  throughout  the  school   year.
