Lesson Introduction: Everything we have, has been given to us by Allah. He has given us so many blessings that even if we tried to count them we would never be able to! In the Qur’an, Allah tells us to think about the blessings he has given us. This helps us to understand how Great Allah is and how much He loves us. If helps us to be thankful to Allah and bring us close to Him. Water is one of the greatest blessings Allah has given us. Life on Earth would be impossible without it.

Allah sends water in the form of rain "He sends down water from the sky" 23:18 The rain helps the plants to grow and gives us and the animals food to eat.

Everything needs water to live. Allah tells us in the Qur’an that He has made everything from water. Our body needs water to survive. It is not possible to live for more than 3-5 days without water to drink.

Even though more than half of the Earth is covered with water, only 1% is drinkable. Most of the water is from the sea and very salty or frozen as ice in the Arctic. It takes a lot of water, energy and money to provide enough clean fresh water for people. Some people in poor countries do not have access to clean water as easily as opening the tap. They have to walk for miles and even then the water is not always clean and safe for drinking. Allah says in the Quran that we must not waste, "la tusrifu". 7:31 Allah does not love those who waste. Try to only use what you need
