We need your designs! Be creative!
Each year, orchestra members have the opportunity to submit their own designs for the current year's t-shirt. The winning design (as voted upon by orchestra members) will be printed on the official orchestra t-shirt for the current schoolyear, and the designer wins a free t-shirt (and bragging rights).
Guidelines:
⦁ The shirt design must include the words, "Westwood Orchestra."
⦁ The shirt design must be completely appropriate and acceptable to a wide
audience. Anything questionable can be vetoed or edited by the powersthat-be (i.e., Mrs. Williams, Mr. Anderson, and the Westwood Orchestra Booster Club Board) prior to voting.
⦁ Please keep in mind that colors are expensive to print on a t-shirt. The
more colors that are included in the design, the more expensive the shirt. As a general rule, please limit printed colors to four (4) or fewer. The background shirt color should not affect the price substantially.
⦁ Please include your design on an unlined 8.5" x 11" sheet of paper.
Vertical or horizontal designs are both acceptable and appropriate. Write your name lighltly in pencil on the back of your design submission, along with the instrument you play and your orchestra (e.g., John Doe, Harp, Philharmonic). If possible, please submit both a paper copy (bring to orchestra class) and an electronic copy (i.e., scanned or digital image) to the booster club president at
[email protected]. (Please note: there is an "underscore" between the "ba" and "oconnor" in this email address.)
Design submissions are due no later than Tuesday, September 6th.
Thank you for your participation - and have fun with this! T-shirts will be available for purchase through the Westwood Orchestra Booster Club at the conclusion of this contest. To provide some inspiration, included with this communication is a picture of last year's winning design, from the creative mind of Emma Young. Enjoy!
