Wee Deliver Students Needed! Your student has the opportunity to work for the Wee Deliver Post Office, Glacier Ridge’s very own post office! Working at the post office encourages writing, helps to improve communication skills, and gives students a sense of job responsibility. Wee Deliver is completely run by 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students. Wee Deliver is currently seeing students who would be interested in working at the Glacier Ridge Post Office. All interested students must fill out a job application, attached. The application needs to be signed by a parent or guardian and returned to school by Monday, September 22nd. POST OFFICE JOBS 5th Grade: Postmasters (pick up and count all of the mail) 4th Grade: Facers (check addresses and stamp mail Sorters (organize mail for delivery) rd 3 Grade: Letter Carriers (deliver mail) All students will be hired and trained in their individual job routines on their first day of work. Students will be assigned to work in the post office one to two weeks at a time during their recess. Students will then be rotated to fill remaining weeks until the end of the school year. Postal service assignments require a great deal of responsibility on the part of the child. Guidelines have been established, and if they are abused, the child will be removed from their postal duties. It is very important that the student show up and do their job when scheduled.
