The End Time Babylon is Dynamically Connected to the Antichrist A. Both Daniel and John were shown that “Babylon” was the location and the belief system the antichrist would be dynamically connected to. B. Babylon is a place and a belief system, a counter to Israel/Judea, which is a place (specifically Jerusalem) and a belief system (Judaism). C. Daniel 2 and Daniel 7 both describe the successive empires that would control the physical location of Babylon and ultimately produce the antichrist

D. Antichrist is the leader of the end time Babylon. The end time Babylon will be “riding” on the antichrist, as it always has: 1 Revelation 17:3-7 So he carried me away in the Spirit into the wilderness. And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast which was full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. 4 The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the filthiness of her fornication. 5 And on her forehead a name was written: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. 6 I saw the woman, drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. And when I saw her, I marveled with great amazement. 7 But the angel said to me, "Why did you marvel? I will tell you the mystery of the woman and of the beast that carries her, which has the seven heads and the ten horns.

E. The woman is a “mystery.” It is not obvious from the world’s perspective who she is, or why SHE is carried by the antichrist. The antichrist carries the harlot, but actually hates her. He knows his 10 “co-conspirators” (10 horns) hate her, but he agrees to govern with them. He promises them power for their loyalty, knowing they hate his country. They also hate Jesus: 2 Revelation 17:12-18 "The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. 13 These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast. 14 These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful." 15 Then he said to me, "The waters which you saw, where the harlot sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues. 16 And the ten horns which you saw on the beast, these will hate the harlot, make her desolate and naked, eat her flesh and burn her with fire. 17 For God has put it into their hearts to fulfill His purpose, to be of one mind, and to give their kingdom to the beast, until the words of God are fulfilled. 18 And the woman whom you saw is that great city which reigns over the kings of the earth." II. To understand Babylon we have to go back to the beginning A. Babylon originated from Babel, which means “gate of heaven” in Akkadian, and “confusion” in Hebrew B. Babel was one of the first cities of the first global superpower, with Nimrod being the first ever “emperor” 3 Genesis 10:8-14 Cush begot Nimrod; he began to be a mighty* one on the earth. 9 He was a mighty hunter** before the LORD; therefore it is said, "Like Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD." 10 And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, Erech, Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar. 11 From that land he went to Assyria and built Nineveh, Rehoboth Ir, Calah, 12 and Resen between Nineveh and Calah (that is the principal city). 13 Mizraim begot Ludim, Anamim, Lehabim, Naphtuhim, 14 Pathrusim, and Casluhim (from whom came the Philistines and Caphtorim). *H1368 gibbo r Intensive from the same as H1397; powerful; by implication warrior, tyrant: - champion, chief, X excel, giant, man, mighty (man, one), strong (man), valiant man. **H6718 tsayid From a form of H6679 and meaning the same; the chase; also game (thus taken); (generally) lunch (especially for a journey): - X catcheth, food, X hunter, (that which he took in) hunting, venison, victuals. C. Nimrod was a “tyrant” and a “taker.” D. A tyrant (Greek τύραννος, tyrannos), in its modern English usage, is an absolute ruler unrestrained by law or constitution, or one who has usurped legitimate sovereignty. A tyrant usually controls almost everything, and is considered a ruler of horrible and oppressive character.

E. Nimrod was the first man who usurped an empire, gave vision to the people for something other than God had for them, and took the land and resources of God and altered them so he could BE a God. He counterfeited God’s Holy Mountain by taking 2|Page

God’s resources and changing them. He cast a vision to the people, just like satan cast a vision to the angels to get them to build HIM a kingdom. The people of Babel, in the Mystery of Babylon, went for Nimrod’s deal!: 4 Genesis 11:1-9 Now the whole earth had one language and one speech. 2 And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar, and they dwelt there. 3 Then they said to one another, "Come, let us make bricks and bake them thoroughly." They had brick for stone, and they had asphalt for mortar. 4 And they said, "Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth." 5 But the LORD came down to see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built. 6 And the LORD said, "Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them. 7 Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another's speech." 8 So the LORD scattered them abroad from there over the face of all the earth, and they ceased building the city. 9 Therefore its name is called Babel, because there the LORD confused the language of all the earth; and from there the LORD scattered them abroad over the face of all the earth. F. God has given mankind dominion over the land: 5 Genesis 1:26 Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." G. Therefore, what a group of people desire in their geographic region is allowed by heaven: good OR bad. God saw the desire of the people of Babel to agree with the vision cast by Nimrod, and saw that would actually make Nimrod the spiritual authority over them. God saw the death and destruction of the people AND the land this would create, and said “not yet”…and he paused the maturing of the Spirit of Babel by limiting communication. H. The people wanted security in the “collective” and Nimrod offered them a governmental plan to meet their spiritual need for security. I. God had just commanded the people to disperse and PROMISED them security, and Nimrod convinced them it would be better to build a city and stay together: 6 Genesis 9:1-3 So God blessed Noah and his sons, and said to them: "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth. 2 And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be on every beast of the earth, on every bird of the air, on all that move on the earth, and on all the fish of the sea. They are given into your hand. 3 Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. I have given you all things, even as the green herbs.

The people of Babel took the things that were already freely given to all, and turned them into something else. The materials used to make the tower of Babel were stolen from the people and “redistributed” as something LESS durable!

1. Brick instead of stone 2. Asphalt for mortar instead of clay/lime 3. Let us build OURSELVES a city in the “heavens”. This was a direct counterfeit of the true heavenly city: the New Jerusalem. The mountain of God: 7 Revelation 21:2-3 Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. 8 Psalms 48:1 A Song. A Psalm of the Sons of Korah. Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised In the city of our God, In His holy mountain. K. The New Jerusalem is a pyramid…a mountain. L. Satan wanted to “ascend” God’s mountain, which is why he tried to trade the promise of power for loyalty that would win him his own kingdom: 9 Isaiah 14:12-14 "How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations! 13 For you have said in your heart: 'I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north; 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.' M. False mountains of God (i.e., Pyramids and ziggurats, inca temples, asian pyramids) are still located all over the earth N. Many pyramids and ziggurats are guarded by Sphinx sphinx (Greek: Σφίγξ /sphinx/, Bœotian: Φίξ /Phix, Arabic: ‫أأأأأأأأ‬,) is a mythical creature with, as a minimum, the body of a lion and a human head. In Greek tradition, it has the haunches of a lion, sometimes with the wings of a great bird, and the face of a human. 10 Revelation 4:6-7 Before the throne there was a sea of glass, like crystal. And in the midst of the throne, and around the throne, were four living creatures full of eyes in front and in back. 7 The first living creature was like a lion, the second living creature like a calf, the third living creature had a face like a man, and the fourth living creature was like a flying eagle. A. Babel (the mother of all harlots) wanted a more tangible security than God, Nimrod was her “best bet” for security even though he was a “tyrant taker”, and Satan wants a kingdom B. The end time Babylon will have this same spirit, but matured: She will sacrifice her freedom, given to her by God, her wealth, given to her by God, and her spiritual fidelity, for a false perception of security.

III. I believe the United States of America is the end time Babylon C. The United States began from a desire to cast off the oppression of a tyrant and worship God freely. D. The first colonists escaped England as religious “separatists” who wanted freedom from King James I E. In 1597–98, James wrote The True Law of Free Monarchies and Basilikon Doron (Royal Gift), in which he argued a theological basis for monarchy. In the True Law, he sets out the divine right of kings, explaining that for Biblical reasons kings are higher beings than other men, though "the highest bench is the sliddriest to sit upon". F. The pilgrims sacrificed ALL security of living the collective, and under the protection of James, to gain freedom to worship and live in the security of God. G. This made what eventually became the United States of America a beacon of freedom, liberty, and security H. Following the excess indulgences of the “roaring 20’s” God gave America the Great Depression: The Roaring Twenties is a phrase used to refer to the 1920s in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom, characterizing the decade's distinctive cultural edge in New York City, Montreal, Chicago, Berlin, London, Los Angeles, and many other major cities during a period of sustained economic prosperity. French speakers called it the "années folles" ("Crazy Years"),[1] emphasizing the era's social, artistic and cultural dynamism. Normalcy returned to politics in the wake of hyper-emotional patriotism after World War I,jazz music blossomed, the flapper redefined modern womanhood and Art Deco peaked. Economically the era saw the large-scale use of automobiles, telephones, motion pictures, electricity, unprecedented industrial growth, accelerated consumer demand and aspirations, plus significant changes in lifestyle and culture. The media focused on celebrities, especially sports heroes and movie stars, as cities rooted for their home teams and filled the new palatial cinemas and gigantic stadiums. In most major countries women won the right to vote. However, the Wall Street Crash of 1929 ended the era, as the Great Depression set in bringing years of worldwide gloom and hardship.

The 20s came with a sexual revolution and introduced, in many ways, homosexuality: The relative liberalism of the decade is demonstrated by the fact that the actor William Haines, regularly named in newspapers and magazines as the #1 male box-office draw, openly lived in a gay relationship with his partner, Jimmie Shields. Other popular gay actors/actresses of the decade included Alla Nazimova and Ramón Novarro.[34] In 1927, Mae West wrote a play about homosexuality called The Drag,[35] and alluded to the work of Karl Heinrich Ulrichs. It was a box-office success. West regarded talking about sex as a basic human rights issue, and was also an early advocate of gay rights.[36]

J.

Rather than cause repentance and turn the country back to God, the depression was used by some USA national leaders, including Franklin Delano Rosevelt, to turn the country to the State for security. The depression gave birth to social security: With few exceptions, all legal residents working in the United States now have an individual Social Security number. Indeed nearly all working (and many non-working) residents since Social Security's 1935 inception have had a Social Security number, because it is required to do a wide range of things including paying the IRS and getting a job.

K. This began a long series of events from world war II, which saw the rebirth of Israel (1948) and her being handed to us for protection in a very hostile world, to the exponential increase in government programs to provide security, and the removal of God from the governmental institutions including schools. 11 Isaiah 47:1-15 "Come down and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon; Sit on the ground without a throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans! For you shall no more be called Tender and delicate. 2 Take the millstones and grind meal. Remove your veil, Take off the skirt, Uncover the thigh, Pass through the rivers. 3 Your nakedness shall be uncovered, Yes, your shame will be seen; I will take vengeance, And I will not arbitrate with a man." 4 As for our Redeemer, the LORD of hosts is His name, The Holy One of Israel. 5 "Sit in silence, and go into darkness, O daughter of the Chaldeans; For you shall no longer be called The Lady of Kingdoms. 6 I was angry with My people; I have profaned My inheritance, And given them into your hand. You showed them no mercy; On the elderly you laid your yoke very heavily. 7 And you said, 'I shall be a lady forever,' So that you did not take these things to heart, Nor remember the latter end of them. 8 "Therefore hear this now, you who are given to pleasures, Who dwell securely, Who say in your heart, 'I am, and there is no one else besides me; I shall not sit as a widow, Nor shall I know the loss of children'; 9 But these two things shall come to you In a moment, in one day: The loss of children, and widowhood. They shall come upon you in their fullness Because of the multitude of your sorceries, For the great abundance of your enchantments. 10 "For you have trusted in your wickedness; You have said, 'No one sees me'; Your wisdom and your knowledge have warped you; And you have said in your heart, 'I am, and there is no one else besides me.' 11 Therefore evil shall come upon you; You shall not know from where it arises. And trouble shall fall upon you; You will not be able to put it off. A series of significant 7-year judgments began with the first attack on the US mainland, primarily attacking our financial security (World Trade Center was a symbol of America’s financial prowess) i. September 2001 – made way for the “Patriot Act” which was a major trade of personal freedom for “security” from terrorism, and for the Sarbanes Oxley Act of 2002, which was a major trade of commercial freedom for security: When U.S. President George Walker Bush put the SarbanesOxley Act 20021 (“SOX”) into force he declared: “[T]oday I sign the most far-reaching reforms of American business practices since the time of Franklin Delano Roosevelt.”2 ii. September 2008 stock market crash – which made way for increasing regulation and government takeover of the banking system and the major industrial production (GM Chrysler) in the name of financial security (too big to fail). 6|Page
