Police Department The Ojai Police Department continues to receive an overwhelming amount of community support in the wake of police officer murders across the country. Ojai citizens are thanking the deputies in the field as well as coming into the station with food and drinks for deputies. Ojai PD is very appreciative of the community support and very proud of our citizens. CPUC Hearing on Playhouse The City received word this week of a hearing scheduled for August 9 by the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) regarding the on-going issues with Golden State Water and the Ojai Playhouse from a water main leak that forced the closure of the theatre. The City had sent a letter, along with various businesses in town, requesting the CPUC open an investigation into this matter. The City is pleased to learn the CPUC has scheduled a hearing into the matter.
