ST. MARY’S SCHOOL 946 Hopmeadow Street  Simsbury, CT 06070 March 3, 2017 Occasionally questions come up regarding the school's withdrawal policy and the policy and practice related to the Affiliated Catholic tuition rate and parish assessment. Please consider the policies listed below which will also be found in the Parent/Student Handbook 2017-18. If you have any questions, please contact the office. Withdrawal Policy     

Families must notify the school in writing if a student is withdrawn from the school. If a student leaves before school begins - $250.00 Family Enrollment Fee is due and is non-refundable. Any tuition paid to date will be refunded. If student leaves before January 1st of the current school year, 50% of tuition is due. If student leaves after January 1st of the current school year, 100% of tuition is due. Exceptions to this Policy shall only be granted by permission of the Pastor.

Tuition Categories Tuition for Saint Mary’s School is divided into two categories: A. Affiliated Catholics – These are Catholics who are registered, participating and financially supporting members of an area Parish. Their annual offering to the church meets the criteria established by the Parish's Pastor. This contribution must be made by December 31st of the current school year. These families pay the affiliated Catholic tuition rate and their parish will pay a parish assessment to the school of $250. If Parish contributions do not meet the established criteria by this date, or if the Pastor denies a family's affiliation with his parish, the family will be billed the parish assessment of $250 and the family will be billed the unaffiliated Catholic tuition rate for the following year. B. Unaffiliated Catholics & Non-Catholics - Families pay full tuition as established.
