SoccerMaine WMU participates in programs under the SoccerMaine state governing body. Information about Fall Classic Travel can be found on SoccerMaine’s website http://soccermaine.com/leagues/ ALL coaches should read the fall soccer handbook posted on the website to familiarize themselves with the rules and procedures. Rules and procedures DO change from year to year so please read the handbook even if you have coached before. Coaches are required to have a copy of the handbook with them at games. Schedules will also be posted on the site when they are available. U12, U13 and U14 coaches are responsible for reporting scores if they are the home team. COACHING CERTIFICATION / LICENSES At least one coach for each team must have an appropriate USF license: 1. Coaches of Under-9 to Under-10 age classic level teams must have successfully completed at least the USSF Youth Module Course or above. 2. Coaches of Under-11 to Under-14 age teams, both classic and premier levels of play, must have successfully completed a USSF “E” Level Coaching License course or above 3. Coaches of Under-15 to Under-18 age group teams participating in the Soccer Maine State Cup must have successfully completed a USSF “D” Level Coaching License course or above. Course registration info can be found here: http://soccermaine.com/coaches/ PLAYER FEES & COMMITMENT LETTERS Player fees and commitment letters should be collected at your first practice or no later than August 15. ($75 for U9-U11; $125 for U12-U14) Fee should be mailed to the club treasurer with this form: (see contact info below) Click Here to Download Form DEADLINES July 15 - teams must be declared and initial rosters submitted to the registrar August 15 - player fees collected and sent to treasurer August 26 - final rosters must be completed and are frozen by SoccerMaine August 28 - First game date ROSTERS Official rosters will be produced by SoccerMaine after the roster freeze date. The club registrar will email the official roster to the coach as soon as possible. Coaches must have printed copies of the official roster with them at all games. REFEREES & SCHEDULING Referees and fields for home games will be scheduled by the referee assignor. Away games are scheduled by the home team. Schedules will be posted at the SoccerMaine website above and will be updated online as game times are entered. Coaches should check the online schedules frequently as games times and locations are sometimes changed without notice. Coaches will be given cash by the club at the beginning of the season to pay for referees for the entire season. Coaches pay half of the referee fees at every game (home or away). Please have cash and the correct change with you at all games. UNIFORMS Uniforms and replacement pieces can be ordered by parents directly from the Admiral website.
