30th September 2016 Dear Parent /Guardian Science Revision Guides With less than 130 teaching days left until the start of the GCSE exams it is imperative than Year 11 students are working hard towards their GCSE exams. To aid students in their work and revision the Science department are offering the following support: 1. An Additional Science workbook covering the Additional Science course free of charge. Science teachers will set homework from it and would expect students to use it to enhance their understanding as well as bring it to every Science lesson. 2. Dedicated Revision nights throughout the year - currently we offer a Tuesday night Revision Club in B10 and B11 and will expand on these sessions throughout the year. 3. The opportunity to purchase, through school, Science revision guides to help students with their exam preparation. The guides contain an overview of content, practice questions and answers and exam style questions and answers. This book has an RRP of £10.99 but we can offer through school at £4.50 (some Year 11 pupils invested in one last year). 4. Online support via www.twitter.com @BBHScience providing links to useful revision materials online, advice, deadline reminders and information on upcoming events in the Science Department.
