YMCA Child Care Procedure Addendum to Family Information Guide All Policies, Procedures and Recommended Practices located in the YMCA Child Care Procedures Manual and Personnel Policies are to be adhered to by all YMCAs of North Bay & Sudbury Child Care Services Employees, Volunteers & Students, which are reviewed annually or upon significant changes.

Activities Off-Premises

Throughout the year, trips are made available based on the interests of the children. A permission form will be sent home outlining the planned destination, method of transportation, time, date and learning objectives. These forms must be signed and returned to your child’s educator in order for your child to participate. Parents and/or guardians are welcome to volunteer for their child’s planned trips – so please contact us if you wish to do so.

Children participating in off-site field activities, trips or walks are supervised by an adult at all times. Furthermore, students or volunteers are never counted in ratios or left alone with a child or a group of children. Please Note: All volunteers for field trips must be 18 years of age. In addition, prior to volunteering, they are required to obtain a current Police Record Check (Vulnerable Sector).”
