8. Action Items – Continued (2) Appointment of Additional Duty Stipend Positions for the 2017-18 School year per attached memo. B. Donations (1) Broadway Gardens in South Portland donated 14 perennial herbs, valued at $62.00 to school garden at Lake Region Middle School. (2) Ms. Mary Chapman of Bridgton, ME donated a variety of art supplies valued at $350.00 to the Lake Region Middle School. Ms. Chapman donated 100+ canvases and other miscellaneous art supplies. C. Grants (1) The Food Service Program received the following Grants for the 2017-18 School year: (a) Two Fresh Fruit & Veggie Grants from the USDA. The Middle School received $21,400, and Stevens Brook Elementary received $15,600. (b) Full Plate Breakfast Grant for $3,525 for Songo Locks, Sebago, and Stevens Brook Elementary Schools to enhance the Breakfast in the Classroom Program. (c) A grant from the Maine Dairy and Nutrition Council. We received (3) insulated milk coolers for the Summer Meals Program. The grant value is $175.00. 9. Discussion Items 10.
